Attorney James L. Miller
As both the founder of Miller & Miller Immigration Lawyers, LLC and from a personal standpoint, Jamie knows how immigration laws can be confusing and overwhelming. With over 20 years of experience helping individuals and families deal with legal issues, Jamie and his staff help individuals from all walks of life. By developing an understanding of each individual’s personal situation, Jamie helps clients find the best solution for their problems.
Everyone has unique immigration issues. Whether discussing getting a green card, applying for U.S. citizenship, or stopping deportation, Jamie strives to help his clients solve their immigration concerns.
Having started his firm in an empty room with nothing but a phone and legal pad, Jamie and his staff now have offices in Downtown Milwaukee, Brookfield, Kenosha, and Madison. At Miller & Miller Immigration Lawyers, LLC, the focus is on providing assistance to those battling immigration problems and providing sound strategies for individuals and families across Southeastern Wisconsin. This dedication has enabled Miller & Miller Immigration Lawyers, LLC to become one of the state’s most respected and successful law firms dealing with immigration matters.
Outside of his legal practice, Jamie volunteers with a number of charitable groups such as Operation Dream and the Milwaukee Jewish Community Center, plays in a local basketball league, and runs the occasional marathon.
Giving Back
Additionally, Attorney Miller and his staff are dedicated to the preservation of justice and strengthening of the community, both in their professional and personal lives.
Jamie has served as Board Chair at the Jewish Community Center (JCC) in Milwaukee. The JCC is an organization that celebrates Jewish life and values while providing for the community as a whole with diversified social, educational, recreational, and cultural programming.
Attorney James Miller is also a strong supporter of Operation Dream, which stands for Discipline, Respect, Education, and Appreciation through Mentoring. This non-profit organization provides developmental opportunities and mentoring for over 250 boys and young men who are primarily of color and need positive role models in Milwaukee. It organizes and facilitates Saturday enrichment activities, tutoring support through academic collaboration, workforce development training, athletic opportunities, and summer programs.
Additionally, Attorney James Miller is the former President of Milwaukee Jewish Free Loan Association (mjfla.org), and is a current loan committee Chair. MJFLA provides interest-free loans to those with temporary financial needs, promoting self-sufficiency, dignity, and a “hand-up instead of a handout”. All loans are confidential and given on a non-sectarian basis to those who meet established criteria but are unable to obtain conventional loans. Because all loans are repaid, MJFLA recycles those funds into new loans for other individuals.
